The Baltimore Indian / South Asian Heritage September Meetup, scheduled to occur on September 14, 2008 12:00 PM at Akbar Restaurant has been cancelled. Sorry for any inconvenience. As some of you know, we are expecting a new baby in our family any day now! So, for now, I'll be taking a hiatus from organizing events for the meetup.

Anyone who'd like to step up & arrange a get-together is more than welcome to do so! Email me if you're interested in being what meetup calls an "assistant organizer." You'd get to choose the activity (e.g., dinner, movie night, happy hour, cultural event, etc.), the time & location, and have website rights to post it on the calendar & invite group members. Basically it means being the "host" for an event, booking a table reservation (if needed), and being there to meet & greet the meetup members who attend. It's a fun experience and a great way to meet new people!
