Hello Desi's,

As you see the statement in my Sub: "OK so WE have a great group here, but what is that 'I' get out of it?" meant a lot to me.
I know many of you are here; joined a cool group wanting something out of it, but then WHY and WHAT???
I spent some time trying to know you all by your introductions you have written online...
I see many many of you are here recently moved in from places like Boston, Chicago, Virginia, Florida even far west from CA and yes, Albuquerque NM!!! And internationally you are from India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan, South Africa, UK, Canada and yes USA!!! (I may have missed some City, States or Countries)
Some of you are here to meet new people, find things to do with kids, know other couples, go bowling or beach volleyball, trips to 6 Flags, know about the Indian Culture, Dance to the tune of Bollywood music and keep in shape, Taste Indian food and learn to cook.... i mean the list goes on...But the point is that; upfront this tells me that we Desi's and Indian Culture lovers come from every corner on earth... and guess what... we all are here in this ONE GROUP!!!!

I read many of you are Singles, DINKS (Double Income No Kids), Newly weds, Young Couple with Kid(s) ALL FUN LOVERS and INDIAN CULTURE LOVERS.
When I took over the group, I got some great respones from active members to volunteer, and I understand many of you want to stay as members who WILL MAKE IT HAPPEN and come attend our events, but then I would not know your interests if you do not write to me.
We are a powerful group of over 200 members!!! You know what that means... Imagine if we ALL attend ONE event, just ONE we can find something to do, someone to meet and everything fun within our group!!

Heres what I am planning:
1. I am calling a ASST ORGANIZERS MEETUP next week and anyone who is interested is WELCOME.
2. A POLL with shortlisted THINGS TO DO will be out up for ALL to vote, and I really want ALL of you to vote.
3. Request everyone to participate in events and make this a "A SUCCESS"
