I am new to the area and am starting this group as a great way for Indian-American women in Oakland County/ Greater Detroit area to meet, make great friendships and also socialize with our families. This can involve fun activities like happy hours, dinners at local and city restaurants, spa day trips, family brunches and dinners, as well as holiday celebrations to introduce our children to our heritage.

This is a group for people interested in India, its culture, food etc.. There will be a wide variety of events such as picnics, games nights, sport events, restaurants, movies, bowling, etc. This is a great way to meet people with similar interests / backgrounds and for those of us with kids to expose them to Indian culture and heritage.

This group is an attempt to create a platform for people already practicing Indian Classical Music or interested in Indian Music, in general. I have a background in Indian Classical singing and want to share and learn from the community. The attempt will be to help expand the horizon for Indian Classical in Michigan and beyond. To help spread the awareness.
